​Parents of terminally ill children tend to hide emotional pain from their spouses

A recent research by NTU revealed that parent-caregivers of children with terminal diagnosis tend to hide their psychological pain from their spouses to protect them from further emotional distress. The study was led by Assoc Prof Andy Ho from the Psychology division at the NTU School of Social Sciences, and conducted together with his PhD student Oindrila Dutta. Based on the study findings, the NTU-led team developed an online therapy app that they hope can help support parent-caregivers emotionally.
